Introduction
Our mission is to help our students become more successful in life through their practice of martial arts. We teach the martial arts as a complete discipline of mind, body and spirit. In addition to learning the skills of self-defence, we encourage students to develop high personal standards and respect for others. The student's safety is always our number one priority. We teach all of our students to act responsibly with the knowledge they are gaining. Martial Arts for the Kids The martial arts are a wonderful activity for children. It offers many benefits not found in other more common activities.
All children are encouraged to learn the Student Creed.
1. I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that could reduce my mental growth or my physical health.
2. I intend to develop my self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
3. I will use what I learn in class constructively to help myself and others, and never to be abusive or offensive.
We encourage students to attend at least two classes per week. Ideally these should be on the same days each week, so that attendance at our academy becomes part of your weekly schedule. Typically a new student will attend 100 lessons in their first year. They can of course attend more frequently should they wish. We only suggest the minimum number that we hope you will make - you can come to as many additional sessions as you like!
